General info

This story focuses on creating a custom 404 error page for Rocken Jobs. When users try to access a page that doesn’t exist, they should be shown this 404 error page, informing them that the page is not available. The page should include the following elements:

  • A 404 error message stating, "Oops, the page you’re looking for does not exist."

  • A Back Home button that redirects users to the homepage.

  • A Support link/button that allows users to seek assistance if needed.

  • Footer links and options for switching to dark mode, language selection, and navigation to Datenschutz / AGB, About, and Contact pages.

  • Copyright information at the bottom.

User story

As a RJ user
I want to see a custom 404 page when I access a non-existent URL
So that I understand the page is unavailable and have options to navigate elsewhere.

Acceptance Criteria

 

01

Scenario: Display 404 page for non-existent URLs.
Given I attempt to access a non-existent URL,
When the page fails to load,
Then I should be shown a 404 error page with a message: "Oops, the page you’re looking for does not exist."

Scenario: Back Home button redirects to homepage.
Given I am on the 404 page,
When I click on the "Back Home" button,
Then I should be redirected to the homepage.

Scenario: Support link provides assistance.
Given I am on the 404 page,
When I click on the "Support" link,
Then I should be redirected to a support page or see options to contact support.

 

 

04

Scenario: Footer options and links are visible.
Given I am on the 404 page,
When I scroll to the bottom,
Then I should see footer links for switching to dark theme, language selection, Datenschutz / AGB, About, and Contact pages, as well as copyright information.
